At Doggy Day Out, we offer adventure-based daycare for friendly, social dogs who love to explore. Our days are built around outdoor adventures, calm pack energy, enrichment, and giving dogs the freedom to sniff, play, swim, run and simply be dogs.

Each day begins with pick-ups across Hamilton in our dedicated dog transport. From there, the dogs head out to safe outdoor environments such as private bush blocks, native bush tracks, rivers, ponds, open paddocks and local adventure spots around the Waikato.

All dogs complete a meet & greet before joining, so we can get to know their personality and make sure they are suited to our group. With experienced supervision, carefully managed group sizes and plenty of space to explore, we create fun, safe and enriching days out for every dog in our care.

SERVICES AND FEES

Doggy Day Out

Doggy Day Out is our adventure daycare service for friendly, social dogs who enjoy being outdoors, travelling in a vehicle, and spending time with other dogs.

Each day includes:

Pick-up and drop-off within our Hamilton route
Supervised outdoor play and exercise
Bush, paddock, river and nature adventures
Socialisation with other friendly dogs
Rest breaks and quiet time as needed
A safe, natural environment with no concrete kennels

Your dog will come home happy, tired and enriched.

Pricing & Packages

• $60 per day (inc gst)

• Two or More Dogs: $45 per dog per day (inc gst)

Requirements

Every dog completes a friendly meet & greet before joining Doggy Day Out. This helps us get to know your dog and make sure they’ll be comfortable, safe and happy in our group.

Dogs must be:

Desexed
In good health
Up to date with core vaccinations
Up to date with Kennel Cough and Leptospirosis
Up to date with flea and worm treatments
Registered with council
Suitable for a social group adventure environment

Vaccination records can be uploaded through our booking portal or emailed through before your dog’s first day.

Doggy Day Out is like no other! The pack are not confined to a kennel environment... Infact, they are encouraged to build self-awareness, self-discipline, safe interactions, and confidence in a range of environments alongside other pups in the pack.

Throughout their week, they have many opportunities to play, explore, and engage with each other and their surroundings. Adventures often taking them on a range of scenic bushwalks, creek swims, beach roams, and farmland strolls.

FAQ

Do you pick up and drop off?

Yes, pick-up and drop-off are included within our Hamilton route. Pick-up is usually between 7:00am–9:00am and drop-off is usually between 2:00pm–4:00pm, depending on the day’s route and traffic.

Does my dog need a meet & greet?

Yes, all dogs complete a meet & greet before joining Doggy Day Out. This helps us get to know your dog and make sure they are suited to our group adventures.

What dogs are best suited to Doggy Day Out?

Doggy Day Out is best suited to friendly, social dogs who enjoy being outdoors, travelling in a vehicle, and spending time around other dogs.

Is my dog off-lead?

Dogs are off-lead New dogs may start on a long line while they settle in.

What vaccinations are required?

Dogs must be up to date with their core vaccinations, Kennel Cough and Leptospirosis before attending.

Will my dog get dirty?

Probably! We are an outdoor adventure service, so dogs may come home wet, muddy or tired - that’s all part of the fun.

Do you offer casual bookings?

Casual days may be available depending on space, but regular weekly or fortnightly bookings are recommended to secure your dog’s spot.

How do bookings work?

Once your dog has completed their meet & greet and is all set up with us, you’ll receive a login to our booking system. From there, you can book your dog in, manage their details and upload any required information. Payments are made via invoices and stripe payments.

DISCLAIMER: Whilst all care will be taken on Doggy Day Out adventures, issues may occur (as they can with any animal) which are beyond our control. Should any issue or injury occur we will endeavour to contact you (or your designated emergency contact).
